Where will the Y be located?

The YMCA Task Force has inquired about several properties in the heart of Battle Ground. We are currently looking at 3 sites: The Lewisville School site off of Hwy. 503, and 2 new development areas off of Highway 503, near the BG Cinema.

How will it be funded?

The YMCA Task Force is exploring every option for funding including private donations, a county bond, and other options. As the citizens rally together to build the facility, the YMCA of the Columbia Willamette will collaborate to fully manage and maintain the property. We have had multiple discussions with school, city and county officials and hope to fund market and feasibility studies as soon as possible.

How much will it cost?

Actual cost cannot be determined without site approval and construction bids, however, we estimate the cost between 20M and 30M, with potential phasing. If a bond is approved, a budget of 20M would cost taxpayers approx. $10 per month based on a median housing value of $250,000.
